School of Computer & Communication Engineering, KUKUM is pleased to announce that it will be hosting the 1st National Conference on Electronic Design from 18-19 May 2005 at Putra Palace Hotel, Kangar, Perlis. This conference is a forum for engineers with electronics background to exchange ideas and research results related to electronics design ranging from the low-level Integrated Circuit (IC) design to the high-level software-hardware interface design and from application specific design to electronics system integration. This event will be held at Putra Palace Hotel in Kangar, Perlis on May 18-19, 2005.

This conference will include keynote addresses, oral presentation of contributed papers, exhibition of products and devices from electronic design related industries and special sessions on teaching-learning facilities available in Kolej Universiti Kejuruteraan Utara Malaysia (KUKUM) in its quest to produce competent electronics engineers. This conference topic includes (but not limited to) the followings:

• Integrated Circuit (IC) Design
• Board-level Design
• Embedded System Design
• Software-hardware Interface design

Generally, all papers related to electronics design will be accepted. The key to this conference is for electronics designers to be able to share and explore other possibilities in putting their designs towards practical or even commercial use. It is hoped that this conference could give some indication of where we stand in electronics design, and some ideas on how we can exploit our resources and capabilities for the good of the nation.

Objectives:

(1) To put a measure on the level of electronics design capabilities in our country.

(2) To explore various possibilities in realizing electronics design towards practical and commercial utilization.

(3) To promote an interchange of ideas in exploiting the available resources and capabilities for the benefit of the nation.

Organized by:
